I am grateful for my liver. We are getting along just fine.
Three years ago...

Just chillin' about 2 or 3 weeks after surgery. I look so happy considering I have that feeding tube still in my nose. Ugh. And that central line in my IJ. double ugh.
(This is one of the only pictures I have of me in the hospital.)


How do other people celebrate their liver's birthdays? I have no idea. But this year I spent it with people I love and who love livers.

First, Grace and Fauf came to visit. And we ate and watched youtube videos and swam and loved each other.


The next weekend I went camping at Sand Hollow. (Beware of Swimmers Itch.)

And I enjoyed the earth.


The next few days I spent in Las Vegas with my AmberLee. But we were having too much fun to take pictures.


My transplant kept me alive. And it introduced me to the medical world.

And left me with a pretty cool battle wound: My scar!


Thank you, liver. Thank you, liver donor. Thank you doctors and nurses and hospitals and families and friends and everyone.

best buffet ever in Vegas at the Rio. I gained a million pounds. And I loved every minute of it.
